Our mission

Selfbits is a spin-off of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and develops innovative digital solutions for Industry 4.0 and IIoT, especially for medium-sized companies. With the Selfbits Manufacturing Suite, our cloud-based software solution, we enable end-to-end monitoring and analysis of the entire production process – from goods receipt to manufacturing to goods issue. This makes inefficient processes transparent and reveals potential for resource conservation and cost savings. Our goal is to help companies make their production processes more efficient and future-proof.

Our team

We are a young team of developers that started in 2016 as a spin-off of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).

Led by co-founder Oliver Kuppler and Klaus Welle, we work in flat hierarchies and with a great deal of personal creative freedom to make the Selfbits Manufacturing Suite better every day.

Thanks to our proximity to KIT, we combine the latest research findings with tried-and-tested industrial expertise and digitize production processes specifically for medium-sized companies. Our shared motivation: to make the “heartbeat” of 10,000 factories worldwide visible, thereby increasing the efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness of our customers.

Our partners

Strong solutions arise from strong networks: From Prof. Weinhardt’s KIT chair to the KIT Start-up Incubator and selected industrial and technology companies, we work hand in hand to make data-driven production a reality.
